Explore the bold, flowing beauty of sunflowers in this art class led by local artist Andrea Patton. You’ll create vibrant paintings of sunflowers while learning to control and layer this dynamic medium of alcohol inks. This workshop offers a colorful way to connect with nature through art.
Please note that supplies are not included. You will need the following materials:
- 4 small paint brushes, flats and rounds
- 1 small plastic pallet dish for paints
- 1 small needle bottle filled with 91% or higher isopropyl alcohol
- Various small bottles of alcohol ink (minimum of red, yellow and blue inks)
- NARA or YUPO paper, at least 4 pieces, size 5×7″
- 1 ultra fine black sharpie
- Optional: 1 white ceramic 6×6″ tile and non-latex gloves
Open to beginner and intermediate artists, ages 15 and up. Youth under 18 must attend with a registered adult chaperone. No experience required—just come ready to create!
